Have you ever been in need of a technical solution, but the component you needed was faulty? Don’t worry. NXS Forefront Inc. has the answer. Our lifecycle solutions provide you with the high-quality, tested components you need to get the job done.

All electronic components undergo testing before they are distributed. This includes counterfeit mitigation, electrical testing, material and failer analysis, and more. This blog post will answer some of your most frequently asked questions about our lifecycle solutions.

1. Does NXS Forefront Inc. offer technical support?

Yes! We want to ensure that our customers are well taken care of, so don’t hesitate to reach out and ask us anything! Our team can help you answer technical inquiries on products, resolve technical problems, take care of compatibility issues, and cross-reference integrated circuits for you.

2. What do you do when the component you need is obsolete, and the original component manufacturer no longer produces it?

Obsolete components can often be a tricky issue. One useful solution is to re-create the component using dies from the original component manufacturer. This offers the advantage of recreating an identical component, matching form and function exactly.

3. Why would the original component manufacturer allow NXS Forefront Inc. to re-create the exact component?

Once semiconductor companies obsolete their product, they will need to sell their excess die to make room for the new die. They no longer want to pay to store and manage wafers for parts they will no longer produce. It benefits them to work with us as we will continue supporting the customer while the OCM transitions them to the new component. Ultimately the customer receives long-term supply support.

4. What component plating options does NXS Forefront Inc. offer?

We offer Tin Lead and Mat Lead, and ROHS to Tin conversation.

5. Is your company ISO certified?

Yes, we are ISO certified. ISO9001:2015

6. How do you mitigate negative PPV in this climate?

Not all parts are allocated. At NXS Forefront Inc., we offset the negative PPV by providing a price reduction on other parts from the same BOM/ Boards / Build. Parts that are not considered allocated. The overall cost of the board remains the same. Additionally, proactive communication and transparency are vital components to battling price fluctuation. This helps our customers to react quickly and push approvals through.

7. How will we survive inflationary margins and dynamic pricing in 2023?

NXS Forefront Inc. will perform a BOM analysis and divide the bill of materials into three separate categories

- Obsolete within the lifecycle of the program

- Risky (Subject to price fluctuation)

- Unpredictable (Subject to elements)

Our team will identify the other elements such as packaging, freight, warehousing, fuel, transport, distribution cost, testing, COO and location of purchase, and OCM acquisition that might create a price rise. Our team will provide you with a strategy based on franchised distribution and independent tactics that will give you the best chances to protect your margins.

We offer a proposal that will identify the parts that need to be bought through franchised distribution, the percentage of parts that need to be purchased through independent, and the percentage of parts that should be re-created.
